Exports in The IT Sector Will be 500 Million Dollar
State Minister for Information and Communication Technology Junaid Ahmed Palak has said that a culture of technology entrepreneurship has been created in Digital Bangladesh under the leadership of People's Leader Sheikh Hasina. The country's freelancers are currently earning ৩ 1.3 billion in foreign exchange.
revenue in the IT sector will exceed five billion dollars by 2025. The present government is giving self-respect and recognition to the freelancers as outstanding remittance fighters.
He was speaking as the chief guest at the distribution of laptops as a gift from Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, the dreamer of Digital Bangladesh, among 42 successful freelancers under the 'Learning and Learning Development' project at the Deputy Commissioner's Conference Room on Friday (February 18) afternoon.
Presided over by Deputy Commissioner Shamim Ahmed, State Minister Palak said the present government has made the IT sector a strong pillar by creating numerous platforms across the country. Three lakh entrepreneurs are working in the e-commerce sector in the country. 20 lakh youths including six and a half lakh freelancers have been employed in the IT sector. With the tireless efforts of Sajeeb Wazed Joy, the architect of Digital Bangladesh, the export revenue in the IT sector will exceed five billion dollars by 2025.
Palak further said that the entrepreneurs of the country did not sit during the Corona period. Although he did not go abroad, he worked as an independent entrepreneur in a foreign company and earned foreign exchange. Of the 53,000 trainees who completed the training under the 'Learning and Learning Development' project, four thousand successful freelancers are being given laptops as gifts by the People's Leader Sheikh Hasina.
He said it was not the culture of handing over arms, drugs and black money to the youth like the previous government, but the present government was handing over the tools of world victory to the youth. The state minister urged the freelancers to work as remittance fighters as well as cyber fighters.
District Awami League President and Member of Parliament for Natore-4 Prof Abdul Quddus and Project Director of 'Learning and Learning Development' Project Humayun Kabir spoke on the occasion.
