Huawei Plans to Invest 830 Million Dollar
Huawei is set to invest 400 million yuan (632.5 million) in building a new office and research and development (R&D) center in Shenzhen, China. The Chinese technology giant is trying to diversify its products and services as it has suffered financially in the past few years due to US sanctions. News Reuters.
Huawei Digital Power has signed an agreement with the local government to open a new office and R&D center in the southern Chinese city of Shenzhen. The R&D center's priorities will be how to work towards China's goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2060.
Huawei is trying to diversify its portfolio outside the telecom and smartphone business. This segment has been severely damaged by US sanctions.
