Musician Jaimie Branch, the trumpeter behind the fresh and energetic FLY or DIE Live album, has died at the age of 39. Branch died at her home in Red Hook, Brooklyn.

Jazz trumpeter Jaimie Branch has died at the age of 39. On Monday night her Chicago-based record label International Anthem announced.

Jaimie branch, a trumpeter who combined punk fury with advanced technique in her version of improvised music and earned acclaim in jazz circles and beyond.
